NORTH ATTLEBORO HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF OFFICERS
There is a new leader at the helm of the North Attleboro High School Alumni Association. By a unanimous vote of its Board of Directors on August 5, Patrick Reynolds, a member of the NAHS Class of 2014, was installed as the organization's fourth president.
"We couldn’t be more excited," said out-going NAHS AA President Tom Pirri (Class of 2002). "Patrick brings a new and fresh perspective that will almost certainly allow the Alumni Association to continue to grow and flourish. He has shown an amazing commitment to North Attleboro, and our alma mater, and has a remarkable track record of service and accomplishmentin our community, especially given his comparatively young age. We look forward to watching the Alumni Association having an even stronger positive impact under his stewardship."
Reynolds is well-known to most residents. While still a senior at NAHS, he successfully ran for a seat on the town's Board of Selectmen. The youngest person to ever hold that seat, he quickly emerged as a leader, serving multiple terms, including two stints as the Chairman of the Board, which at the time was the highest elected office in the town.
He has also been instrumental in creating positive change for the community, and specifically to the schools, as he played a driving role in the successful passage of a Proposition 2 & 1/2 Override which boosted badly needed school spending.
Having completed his college undergraduate degree, and subsequent law degree, Patrick is also currently a candidate for the Massachusetts State Legislature in the upcoming primary and general elections.
In accepting his new role with the NAHS Alumni Association, Reynolds thanked those who formed the group and have guided its launch since 2005. "I'm thankful for all the work that has been done the past 15 years," said Reynolds. "It's taken a lot of time, effort, and dedication to build a great foundation and momentum. I look forward to continuing that important work."
Also elected to serve on the NAHS Alumni Association Board of Directors for the coming year were:
COLONEL USAF (RET.) DENNIS R. REDDING, NAHS CLASS OF 1958

Colonel Redding was a 2008 recipient of our Joseph W. Martin, Jr. Distinguished Alumni Award. Please access the following link to read his complete obituary. ALUMNI ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISING
With new administrative leadership, restored positions, a new athletic turf field complex, and over 300 newly-graduated North Attleboro High School Alumni now setting out to make their mark on the world, there is a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm at your alma mater.
This year mark NAHS’s 141st academic year and the Alumni Association’s 14th year of promoting and providing opportunities to enhance the educational experience of current and future NAHS students. The dedication and unwavering commitment from the North Attleboro community and High School staff delivers an exceptional education that positions our graduates for success. NAHS is a remarkable school that is on the move, but to get to the next level we need your help now!
The NAHS Alumni Association provides immediate support for one of the school’s most important priorities — technology -- because we realize that technology is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. In addition, we also seek to support the broader goals of the community that impact NAHS.
The value of the North Attleboro High School diploma continues to rise with the school’s reputation, but we need your help to continue this trajectory. People like you, who have invested in the Alumni Association’s fundraising campaign, make our strategic goals for North Attleboro High School’s bold future possible. Through the contributions of alumni, parents and friends, the Alumni Association has already raised thousands of dollars, but we need the support of the entire NAHS community to succeed.
Please join us in improving the education for thousands of present and future students through your generosity.

CREATE OPPORTUNITY: GIVE TO THE NORTH ATTLEBORO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TODAY
The past five years have been a time of unprecedented growth at North Attleboro High School. As alumni, we recognize that an education from North Attleboro High School is a gateway to opportunity. North students continue to benefit from an exceptional educational experience that is both career shaping and life changing.
There is no better way to continue North Attleboro's tradition of creating opportunity than by making a gift to the North Attleboro High School Alumni Association. The Association provides immediate support for one of the school's most important priorities — technology - because we realize that technology is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. We are happy to announce that the high school is now 100% WiFi, and the School Department is introducing the "Bring Your Own Device" initiative this year in order to accommodate the rapidly evolving nature of education; however, not all of our students have the technology to enable them to take advantage of this new reality.
• Our goal is for every student to have access to a laptop so they can take full advantage of its wireless capability.
• The current reality at NAHS is that students only have access to a limited number of school owned portable devices during the times that they are in class. The "Bring Your Own Device" initiative aims to integrate portable devices into actual classroom curriculum, enhancing lessons for both students and teachers.
A quality education like the one our students deserve, and that North Attleboro Teachers are dedicated to deliver, requires considerable resources. That's why your generosity to North Attleboro High School is essential. The amount you give does not matter as much as giving back to your community, and brightening the future for countless students to come. Alumni support is a key indicator of a strong school system and sends a positive message to the students, showing them that they have a North Attleboro family even after graduation.
Please join us in improving the education for thousands of present and future students through your generosity.

NAHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ESTABLISHES NEW CLASS AGENTS PROGRAM
The newest initiative from the NAHS Alumni Association allows graduates to take a more active role in the group by volunteering to serve as a Class Agent.
As the association grows and expands it's programs, it is aiming to establish more direct links and points of contact with at least one member of each of the school's graduating classes.
In addition to serving as the liaison between the Alumni Association and their fellow classmates, Class agents will help generate news for the group's seasonal e-newsletters, suggest potential nominees for our annual Alumni Awards program, and maybe help identify potential donors who can help us meet our annual fundraising goals.
Anyone interested in serving as a Class Agent is invited to e-mail NAHS Alumni Association Secretary Jack Johnson (Class of '80) at firstname.lastname@example.org
The NAHS Alumni Association now has the ability to accept on-line donations. Click here to find out how.
